Calgon Carbon Awarded $575,000 Contract for Integrated Odor Control System
Pittsburgh, PA — May 28, 2002 — Calgon Carbon Corporation
announced today that it has received a $575,000 contract to supply an
IS Series™ integrated odor control system to the municipal
wastewater treatment plant in Massillon, Ohio.
The IS Series™ system to be supplied for this facility includes a
Calgon Carbon ACS Series™ acid scrubber for the removal of
ammonia and a Calgon Carbon Phoenix™ system for the removal of
hydrogen sulfide. This system will treat 30,000 cubic feet per minute
of odorous air. Beyond the integrated system, the order also includes
an additional single-stage Phoenix system.
Calgon Carbon Corporation has been a provider of odor control products
to municipalities and industries around the world for over thirty
years. Wastewater treatment facility processes often produce odorous
emissions. These emissions often constitute a significant nuisance to
the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses and must be
controlled.
