Chemviron Carbon is the European representation of Calgon Carbon Corporation that
provides solutions to customers' air, water and chemical process
problems through design, fabrication and operation of systems that
utilize a combination of specialty enabling technologies:
- Ion exchange and chromatographic separations
- Ultraviolet light disinfection and oxidation
- Odor control
- Solvent recovery, distillation, and VOC abatement

Chemviron Carbon produces a range of pulverized, pelleted and granular
carbons, including acid washed and impregnated products for use in a
wide range of air, gas, water and process applications. With
approximately 400 employees and head quartered in Belgium, Chemviron
Carbon has a network of sales offices in Germany, France and the
United Kingdom as well as an extensive network of Agents and
Distributors throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Chemviron Carbon has achieved ISO 9002 certification for the
manufacture, sale and distribution of activated carbon, reactivation
and wood products and ISO 9001 certification for the manufacture of
activated carbon cloth and the design, project management and
manufacture of equipment.
Additional Locations:
- In Feluy, Belgium, approximately 50 km south of Brussels,
Chemviron Carbon has its principal European activated carbon
manufacturing plant that produces an extensive range of granular and
powdered activated carbons. Feluy is also the world's largest
Reactivation Center allowing granular activated carbon to be
continually recycled. A Reactivation Center and a specialty activated
carbon manufacturing plant is located in Grays, in the United Kingdom.
- The Engineering Group, located in Belgium, supplies a range of
standard and engineered adsorption systems based on both activated
carbon and AST technology. This is backed up by a support network of
engineers, technicians and a technical service laboratory developing
solutions for an expanding range of applications.
- Charcoal Cloth International, located in Newcastle in the United
Kingdom, produces Activated Charcoal Cloth for a range of special
applications.
- In Bodenfelde, Germany, Chemviron Carbon manufactures Grillis, a
leading brand of barbecue charcoal as well as a range of wood
chemicals, flavours and industrial charcoal.
- CCOT, based in Toronto, Canada, supplies a range of advanced
oxidation and UV disinfection technology for water and waste water
treatment.
