Calgon Carbon Announces New C-900 Continuous Processing Unit for
Contract Production of Custom Chemicals
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania February 18, 2002 Calgon Carbon
Corporation announced today that its CSEP® C-900 series is now
available for laboratory and pilot plant separations of custom and
fine chemicals on a contract basis.
The CSEP® C-900 series provides chromatography for binary,
gradient, or multi-component separations and is ideal for
demonstrating process design and implementing process
improvements.
This equipment incorporates Calgon Carbon's patented and unique rotary
valve technology for continuous processing of complex liquids and can
operate at flow rates between 0.1 200 mls per minute.
This system allows a client to evaluate resins and other adsorptive
media under various conditions to achieve the desired purity,
concentration, and yield requirements.
"We are pleased to offer the CSEP® C-900 series to our clients
under contract for demonstrating their separations requirements and
are excited that this can lead to further commercial arrangements for
direct sale of production units", says David L. Smith, Engineered
Solutions Sales Manager.
