"Engineered Solutions Groundwater Remediation" Summary: The ISEP+® system combines an ISEP® continuous ion exchange system for removal of perchlorate with a perchlorate destruction module (PDM) to allow brine recycle. The ISEP® portion utilizes 20 or 30 ion exchange beds (approx 25 cubic feet of resin per bed) that are mounted on a slowly rotating carousel. The rotation of the carousel moves the beds slowly through the required sequence of operations, which includes perchlorate adsorption, backwash, regeneration, rinse and displacement. These operations are going on simultaneously as the carousel rotates.
