Oxidation
Our Rayox® Oxidation Systems can destroy many organic compounds
found in water and wastewater. Rayox® technology is currently used

- Drinking water treatment, for destruction of PCE, TOC, and color

Disinfection
The Sentinel™ UV Disinfection System is a landmark technology for
the control of cryptosporidium, giardia, and other waterborne,
pathogenic bacteria and viruses.
Calgon Carbon was the first company to discover that low doses of UV
light could be used to prevent the regulation of parasites such as
crytosporidium in water supplies. Since that discovery, we've
demonstrated that UV disinfection is the most cost-effective treatment
technology for the control of cryptosporidium in potable water
treatment.
UV disinfection is also routinely applied in industrial applications
including
- high purity water treatment for pharmaceutical and fermentation processing;
- brewing and bottling plan process waters; and
- prevention of biomass accumulation in activated carbon.
